Revealing God's Character Through a Growing Relationship with Jesus

Reality Check (Oct 1)

Jeremiah 31:34 – “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Hello Church Family,

Here’s a reality check worth holding onto: God’s forgiveness is bigger than our failures. Jeremiah 31:34 reminds us that when God forgives, He doesn’t keep a secret file cabinet of our sins to pull out later. He doesn’t keep us under probation or make us earn our way back into His good graces. Instead, He chooses to remember our sins no more.

That’s a staggering thought! We tend to hold on to things—mistakes, regrets, even the embarrassing things we did years ago that still make us cringe when we remember them. But God doesn’t work that way. Once He forgives, it’s gone. Completely. Forever.

And because of that, we don’t live each day dragging around the weight of yesterday’s failures. We live free. Free to walk in joy. Free to love boldly. Free to start fresh each morning because of Jesus.

So here’s your reality check today: no matter what your week has looked like, God’s grace is greater. Take a deep breath, smile, and rejoice. You are forgiven, loved, and free. That’s not just wishful thinking—that’s God’s promise, and His promises never fail.

In Christ’s hope,
Pastor Jen
